It has been many years exploding hydroelectric energy. Since the farmers in the ancient Greece, man have used water mills to grind grain and to make flour. The mills which are located in the rivers, it collects the water in movement to placed it in cubes around the mills. The kinetic energy coming from moving water turns around the mill and is transformed in mechanical energy.
Hydraulic, hydric and hydro energy are refer to the power obtained from the waterfall kinetic and potential energy harness.
The hydroelectric energy can be transformed by different scales. According to the world history, over centuries, there are small operations where the river’s current and/or small dams move a paddle wheel and generates a movement applied. This can be seen, for example, in the rural mills. However, the most significant harness is done in the hydro dams.
It is generally considered as a renewable energy because it does not issue polluting products. However, it generates a big environmental impact in the construction area of the dams because it floods in large land areas and modifies the river’s flow and the quality of the water.
Usually, hydroelectric are located in rainy regions and favorable geological heights, best areas to build dams. Hydraulic energy is obtained from potential and kinetic energy from water masses transported by the rivers from the rain and ice melting. The waterfall between two levels of the river course passing off as a hydraulic turbine, which transmits the energy to an alternator and is converted into electric energy.
Another system used is when the stream water with a high slope is conducted with a turbine towards a closed pipe. The water is collected in a small dam and the difference is that the high will provide the potential energy needed.
Additional to this, there is other way which is to make a small dam in the river diverting part of it towards a low-incline channel, so there will gain certain level difference after a few kilometers, making this way the water drops through a pipe with a turbine.
